Buttonwood Strips
Scope Note
A 1935 field report on geographic names written
for the U.S. Coast& Geodetic Survey states: "The
keys charted as Mayo Key, Annette Key, and the key
lying on the same bank to the N. W. of Annette Key
are all grouped together and called locally
Buttonwood Strips." The third key, mentioned but
unnamed here, is specified to be Cutoe Key at a
later point in the same report.
