Bottle Key
Geographic Location
Located in Florida Bay, 3 miles due north of Key
Largo's Hammer Point.
Scope Note
Formerly named Bottlepoint Key. Renamed in the
1940's by Charles M. Brookfield because the key is
shaped like a bottle.
This key was the main campsite of Robert Porter
Allen in 1939-40 when he was studying the Roseate
Spoonbill.
