Father Alaña's chart, (1743) shows Cayo Sambo. The O'Carrol chart (1770) shows Cayos de Zamba On George Gauld's chart (1775) Both Eastern and Western Sambo Keys are named Cayos Samboes. A chart in Charles Torrey Simpson's "In Lower Florida Wilds" (1920) shows Eastern Sambo, Middle Sambo, and Western Sambo Keys.
