The U.S. Coast Survey Sketch F of 1860, as well as the later U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey chart #1250, 1937 edition, indicate a small key named Pie Key in Florida Bay, midway between Butternut Key and Park Key. Current charts show no key in this location.
