Geographic Location
Located on the oceanside of the Seven Mile Bridge,
below Moser Channel.
Reference
On Gauld chart (1775), a small key, at the
location of the easternmost of these keys, is
named Sand Key.
So named (in pencil) on Blunt chart (1846).
Gerdes, in his "Reconnaissance of the Florida
Reefs and all the Keys" (1849) states: "The next
(island) to the S. W. (of Pigeon Key) is called
the Molasses Key."
