Geographic Location
Located 3.5 miles due north of U.S. Highway 1 at
Bahia Honda Channel.
Reference
Gerdes, in his "Reconnaissance of the Florida
Reefs and all the Keys" (1849) states: "The group
of Islands N.W. of the S. of Big Bahia Honda Key
is named the Little Pine Islands."
Scope Note
Visited in 1885 by Charles William Pierce in his
boat, the Bonton.
