Located between Key West and the Marquesas Keys.
Reference
Misnamed Man Key on U.S. Coast Survey charts of
1855 and 1868.
This key and Ballast Key are named Double Kay on
Blunt chart (1846).
Gerdes, in his "Reconnaissance of the Florida
Reefs and All the Keys" (1849) states: "Double Kay
bears the name of Woman Key,"
