Both Gauld (1775) and Blunt (1846) charts misname the Marquesas group. On both these charts, the Marquesas Keys are called Cayos de Boca Grande. Gerdes, in his "Reconnaissance of the Florida Reefs and All the Keys," (1849) states: "The islands marked on Blunt's chart as the Cayos de Boca Grande bear the name of Marquesas."
