Cayo Escrivanos
Reference
A number of Spanish charts (Juan de Liguera, 1742; AlaƱa, 1743, Juan Elixio, 1765; O'Carrol, 1770) all show Cayo Escrivanos to the north and east of Melchoir Rodriguez, possibly at the location of today's Julia Island or Rattlesnake Key. The legend on the Juan Elixio de la Puente map states, "Cayo Largo, con sus tres Cayuelos nombrados de Escrivanos, Melchor Rodrigues, y Tavanos."
