Named in the 1930's by Charles M. Brookfield for Roscoe Dunton, a Divisional Manager for Pan-American Airways in Miami, who was a passenger on a cruise in Brookfield's boat, Manatee.

Geographic Location:

Located in Florida Bay, three miles due south of the mouth of Rankin Bight.
