Refuge Key

Scope Note:

According to the report of a field party for the U.S Coast & Geodetic Survey written in 1935-36, Refuge Key "Lies in the mouth of a bight on the west shore of No Name Key. It provides the best hurricane refuge for small craft in the vicinity. Name recommended by Field Party."

Geographic Location:

Located just north of Big Mangrove Key, in Spanish Harbor.
