Appears on Gauld chart (1775) as Crayfish Key. This was miscopied on the Blunt chart (1846) as Grayfish Key. U.S. Coast Survey chart of 1855 "Key West Harbor and its Approaches" has Crawfish Key. U.S. Coast Survey sketch F of 1860 shows West Crawfish Key, as does U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey chart #1251 of 1932.
