The name Arsnicker is said to be a corruption of the Bahamian name for the Great Blue Heron - "Marsh Sneaker". Visited by C.W. Pierce in his boat Bonton in 1885.

Located in Florida Bay, seven miles due north of the western end of Long Key (I).
